My PS3 just got the yellow light of death (YLOD) and I was wandering if I should send back to sony, get a new ps3, or just get a different game console. I have a fat 40gb PS3 back in 2007, not ps2 compatible. I know for a fact Sony knew about the YLOD before they released the ps3 and I hear they want to charge around $150 plus tax fix it or most likely give you a refurbished one.

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2002/12/tax-cuts-increase-federal-revenues http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2007/01/ten-myths-about-the-bush-tax-cuts

I'm a 38 year old widow. After my husband died in 2003, I realized that the life insurance money wasn't going to go very far, unless I became extremely frugal. Over the last 7 years I've taken many, many, many classes, and I've obtained quite a few certifications. From Personal Trainer (www.witseducation) to Building/Construction. I've literally saved thousands by being a do it yourself consumer. Some of my family members think that I'm obsessed with being frugal. But that's not the case at all. Why pay someone else to do a job, when I can do it for a fraction of the cost? I can give you a really good example of what I'm talking about. In 2007, I took a seminar on how to flip houses and buy houses for the back taxes. This was also the same year that I had taken courses in real estate, realtor, and housing inspection. I knew that eventually I wanted to buy a house of my own. Up until 7 months ago I was living in a very cheap, garage apartment near my job. I decided that I was ready to move into my first and only house. I bought a 1,700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, with a two car garage, for the back taxes. The house has a swimming pool. I paid $4,312 for it all. Because of all of the classes I had taken in Building Construction, Interior Design, Cabinet Making, Furniture Making & Refinishing, Sewing. I spent $23,000 to have the home of my dreams. I got a huge tax refund, and I am using that toward an international adoption. When I had my house warming party everyone from my job, asked me who had decorated my home. I proudly told them that I had did it myself. I also told everyone that I had made all of the food as well. Everyone was shocked, because they thought I had paid a professional to do it all for me. Nope it was all my hard work. I love that I can do things for myself, and I know that it will be done right. So I'm asking all of the people out there reading my question: Is there anything wrong with being a do it yourself consumer?

http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/local_news/manhattan/mosque-investors-donation-investigation-20100902 Mosque Investor Was Terror Contributor Updated: Friday, 03 Sep 2010, 9:25 AM EDT Published : Thursday, 02 Sep 2010, 6:01 PM EDT BY CHARLES LEAF MYFOXNY.COM - Fox 5 News reported Thursday that one of the financial backers of the Islamic mosque and cultural center project in Lower Manhattan once contributed to a terror group, although the investor says the contribution was made because he thought he was giving money to a harmless charity. One of the key players in Sharif El-Gamal's Mosque near Ground Zero is Egyptian born businessman, Hisham Elzanaty. Fox 5 News has learned exclusively and confirmed with Mr. Elzanaty’s attorney that Elzanaty made a “significant investment” in the development of the mosque near Ground Zero. Fox 5 has also uncovered Elzanaty has teamed up with El-Gamal on at least two real estate deals: the controversial mosque site and another deal involving a commercial property in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. In the Chelsea deal, mortgage documents show Elzanaty played a major role signing off as the guarantor on El-Gamal's $39 million mortgage. When Fox 5 News reporter Charles Leaf tracked down Elzanaty outside his Long Island home in Roslyn Heights last week Elzanaty avoided the camera and did not answer a single question about his business dealings with El-Gamal. Fox 5 News has also learned that in 1999 Hisham Elzanaty sent money to an organization that would later be deemed by the U.S. government to be a terrorist group. The organization was the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, also known as HLF. The now defunct group’s 1999 tax records show Elzanaty contributed more than $6,000 to HLF. Two years later, in 2001, HLF was shut down by the federal government and designated as a global terrorist. After a mistrial in 2007, in 2008 five HLF leaders were convicted of providing material support to Hamas. The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) is a non-profit research group that focuses on radical Islamic terrorist groups. The research group shared its information on HLF with Fox 5 News and IPT’s Managing Director, Ray Locker tells us HLF, “masked what their true purpose was, they funneled money to Hamas which used that money to conduct terrorist operations. In many cases they gave that money to the widows and children of so-called martyrs. ” Federal investigators say HLF was set up as the largest Muslim charity in the United States based in Richardson, Texas, but from its inception the group existed to support Hamas. Mr. Elzanaty's attorney tells Fox 5 News exclusively his client believed he was making contributions to an orphanage. But IPT’s Ray Locker claims even back then TV and newspapers were reporting suspicions of the group’s ties to terror. “If you gave money (to HLF) in 1999 you probably had some inkling that HLF was giving money to Hamas and therefore to terrorist operations,” Locker says. Mr. Elzanaty's contribution to HLF came in the same year his Egyptian parents, Abdou Elzanaty and Abed Raboh Fawkia Elzanaty, were killed in a plane crash. On October 31, 1999, Egyptair flight 990 left New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport bound for Cairo, but crashed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Nantucket Island killing 217 people. U.S. investigators concluded the flight’s pilot deliberately crashed the plane in a suicide, while Egyptian investigators disagreed, concluding the flight had mechanical problems. Elzanaty’s attorney tells Fox 5 the tragic plane crash changed Mr. Elzanaty's life and brought him closer to Islam. -------------- See below for the 1999 IRS 990 form for the organization known as: Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). It shows Hisham Elzanaty’s $6,050 contribution. (Specific street addresses and names have been removed by Fox 5 News) In 2001 the HLF was shut down by the U.S. government and designated as a global terrorist. After a mistrial in 2007, in 2008 five HLF leaders were convicted of providing material support to Hamas, a group on the U.S. governments List of Foreign Terrorists. A company's profit for last 210 years is given below. But the company cheated one of it's profit value to escape from the income tax.Now the correct profit value is going to give the passwrod for you. The company's profit follows certain constraints like: 1)The profit earned is linearly based on number of men,duration of work per month,average age of men,income tax percentage at that time. 2)Till 1899, the number of men saw a decrease in '1' per annum. But realizing this the company started to increae it's men at a rate of '5' per annum. 3)And for every decade the company witnessed the following changes. * duration of work was raised by '5' * average age reduced by '3' * income tax percentage raised by '4' due to many factors. year- profit 1800 -13448 1801 -13502 1802 -13466 1803 -13430 1804 -13394 1805 -13358 1806 -13322 1807 -13286 1808 -13250 1809 -13214 1810 -13178 1811 -13232 1812 -13196 1813 -13160 1814 -13124 1815 -13088 1816 -13052 1817 -13016 1818 -12980 1819 -12944 1820 -12908 1821 -12962 1822 -12926 1823 -12890 1824 -12854 1825 -12818 1826 -12782 1827 -12746 1828 -12710 1829 -12674 1830 -12638 1831 -12692 1832 -12656 1833 -12620 1834 -12584 1835 -12548 1836 -12512 1837 -12476 1838 -12440 1839 -12404 1840 -12368 1841 -12422 1842 -12386 1843 -12350 1844 -12314 1845 -12278 1846 -12242 1847 - 12206 1848 -12170 1849 -12134 1850 -12098 1851 -12152 1852 -12116 1853 -12080 1854 -12044 1855 -12008 1856 -11972 1857 -11936 1858 -11900 1859 -11864 1860 -11828 1861 -11882 1862 -11846 1863 -11810 1864 -11774 1865 -11738 1866 -11702 1867 -11666 1868 -11630 1869 -11594 1870 -11558 1871 -11612 1872 -11576 1873 -11540 1874 -11504 1875 -11468 1876 -11432 1877 -11396 1878 -11360 1879 -11324 1880 -11288 1881 -11342 1882 11306 1883 -11270 1884 -11234 1885 -11198 1886 -11162 1887 -11126 1888 -11090 1889 -11054 1890 -11018 1891 -11072 1892 -11036 1893 -11000 1894 -10964 1895 -10928 1896 -10892 1897 -10856 1898 -10820 1899 -10784 1900 -10748 1901 -11018 1902 -11198 1903 -11378 1904 -11558 1905 -11738 1906 -11918 1907 -12098 1908 -12278 1909 -12458 1910 -12638 1911 -12908 1912 -13088 1913 -13268 1914 -13448 1915 -13628 1916 -13808 1917 -13988 1918 -14168 1919 -14347 1920 -14528 1921 -14798 1922 -14978 1923 -15158 1924 -15338 1925 -15518 1926 -15698 1927 -15878 1928 -16058 1929 -16238 1930 -16418 1931 -16688 1932 -16868 1933 -17048 1934 -17228 1935 -17408 1936 -17588 1937 -17768 1938 -17948 1939 -18128 1940 -18308 1941 -18578 1942 -18758 1943 -18938 1944 -19118 1945 -19298 1946 -19478 1947 -19658 1948 -19838 1949 -20018 1950 -20198 1951 -20468 1952 -20648 1953 -20828 1954 -21008 1955 -21188 1956 -21368 1957 -21548 1958 -21728 1959 -21908 1960 -22088 1961 -22358 1962 -22538 1963 -22718 1964 -22898 1965 -23078 1966 -23258 1967 -23438 1968 -23618 1969 -23798 1970 -23978 1971 -24248 1972 -24428 1973 -24608 1974 -24788 1975 -24968 1976 -25148 1977 -25328 1978 -25508 1979 -25688 1980 -25868 1981 -26138 1982 -26318 1983 -26498 1984 -26678 1985 -26858 1986 -27038 1987 -27218 1988 -27398 1989 -27578 1990 -27758 1991 -28028 1992 -28208 1993 -28388 1994 -28568 1995 -28748 1996 -28928 1997 -29108 1998 -29288 1999 -29468 2000 -29648 2001 -29918 2002 -30098 2003 -30278 2004 -30458 2005 -30638 2006 -30818 2007 -30998 2008 -31178 2009 -31358

Isn't it incredible that if the East Anglia leak hadn't happened, most of the world would be floating in new "save the world" taxes? It turns out that dozens of "scientists" that were a part of the IPCC "clique"... intentionally built up extremely weak, and sometimes outright false information and data to be able to come to the conclusion they wanted to reach in the first place! excerpt... The global-warming establishment took a body blow this week, as the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change received a stunning rebuke from a top-notch independent investigation. For two decades, the IPCC has spearheaded efforts to convince the world's governments that man-made carbon emissions pose a threat to the global temperature equilibrium -- and to civilization itself. IPCC reports, collated from the work of hundreds of climate scientists and bureaucrats, are widely cited as evidence for the urgent need for drastic action to "save the planet." But the prestigious InterAcademy Council, an independent association of "the best scientists and engineers worldwide" (as the group's own Web site puts it) formed in 2000 to give "high-quality advice to international bodies," has finished a thorough review of IPCC practices -- and found them badly wanting. "Some scientists invited by the IPCC to review the 2007 report before it was published questioned the Himalayan claim. But those challenges 'were not adequately considered,' the InterAcademy Council's investigation said, and the projection was included in the final report." Yet the Himalayan claim wasn't based on peer-reviewed scientific data, or on any data -- but on speculation in a phone interview by a single scientist. Was science even a real concern for the IPCC? In January, the Sunday Times of London reported that, based in large part on the fraudulent glacier story, "[IPCC Chairman] Rajendra Pachauri's Energy and Resources Institute, based in New Delhi, was awarded up to 310,000 pounds by the Carnegie Corp. . . . and the lion's share of a 2.5 million pound EU grant funded by European taxpayers." Thus, the Times concluded, "EU taxpayers are funding research into a scientific claim about glaciers that any ice researcher should immediately recognize as bogus." What does the best evidence now tell us? That man-made global warming is a mere hypothesis that has been inflated by both exaggeration and downright malfeasance, fueled by the awarding of fat grants and salaries to any scientist who'll produce the "right" results. and don't use "the war" as an excuse.........they increased DOMESTIC spending too. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23143814/ The Republicans controlled congress until 2007, and during their reign of power, they significantly increased spending. and Bush never vetoed a single spending bill in his entire 1st term as president. But these days............when the Republicans campaign, every word out of their mouth is "CUT SPENDING!" Why didn't they cut spending when they were in power? Obama is following the SAME pattern that the REPUBLICANS followed - Cut taxes & Cut spending. Both Obama & Bush signed stimulus bills that Cut Taxes significantly. Republicans are saying, "This is not us!" Well it certainly was you during 2001-2007.

Since conservatives complain so loudly and blame President Obama for the financial crises which began during the Bush administration (the recession began in 2007), do they think McCain should have been elected in his place? When the economy was in bad shape should we have elected a man as president who admitted that he wasn't very good at economics? McCain said that he would depend on his VP and his advisers for help in that area. The only bright spot in the whole scenario is that Palin probably would have quit by now. Foreclosure Phil Gramm was McCain's close adviser. Gramm is a banking industry lobbyist and was responsible for deregulation, which caused the Wall Street meltdown. Would we have been better off continuing Bush's failed policies of giving tax breaks to the wealthy, starting wars, deregulating industry, and ignoring the crumbling infrastructure, unemployment, and foreclosures, as McCain would have done? http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE4B05YX20081201 http://www.aflcio.org/issues/politics/mccain_economy.cfm http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2007/12/mccain_its_abou.html http://motherjones.com/politics/2008/05/foreclosure-phil http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=93465260President Clinton actually created a surplus during his administration. Both Bushes created deficits. Clinton only raised taxes for the wealthiest people in the country. GW. Bush gave them tax breaks, assuming that they would use the money to create jobs and boost the economy, but they didn't. Look at the Congressional Budget Office chart at the link I provided and you will find that the Bush's created deficits and Clinton created a surplus. Clinton's policies took effect in 1994, and W's in 2002. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/during_the_clinton_administration_was_the_federal.html Unemployment also decreased under Obama. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2010_05/023691.phpChuckG, in what way would we be better off? Please be specific. Did McCain say anything during his campaign that would lead you to believe that we would be better off?Growth, to say that all candidates are the same because Goldman Sachs has contributed to their campaigns is ludicrus. If you believe that may I assume that you do not vote? President Obama's and McCain's views are almost totally opposite. John Boehner tried to make some connection between Goldman Sachs and Obama, but he failed and he failed to mention that Goldman Sachs has contributed $100,000 to Boehner himself and his political groups since 1998. Boehner and Republicans do not support reform bills to prevent what Boehner says he considers a problem. Could it be that he would miss the contributions he gets and doesn't mention? http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2010/04/boehner_ties_obama_to_goldman.htmlKelscene, so you would say that (assuming McCain and Palin's approval rating would be higher than Obama and Biden's, which is a novel idea in itself) approval ratings and polls are all that are important during a president's administration? I would have to disagree. I would also suggest a little in depth reading from various sources about Palin. To put it as nicely as I can, the more you know about her the less appealing she becomes. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2010/10/sarah-palin-201010?printable=trueChaz, in Aug. 2003 Bush said he was concerned about job losses, when the Labor Department announced there had been 44, 000 job losses the month before and 71,000 manufacturing jobs lost. As of August 2003: "The nation has lost jobs in 25 of the 31 months that President Bush has been in office, making for the worst jobs record at this point in a presidency of any administration since Herbert Hoover." http://www.aflcio.org/aboutus/thisistheaflcio/ecouncil/ec08052003f.cfm Home foreclosures were a problem for Bush when there was a Republican majority in Congress. http://dpc.senate.gov/dpcdoc.cfm?doc_name=fs-110-2-171 Republicans, notably foreclosure Phil Gramm, worked to deregulate business, and their efforts were rewarded with the Wall Street meltdown and the financial crises http://motherjones.com/politics/2008/05/foreclosure-phil

Our ultimate goal is to try to save more money, but if the car is worth it, it is fine to buy more expensive. here is a link to the 2005 honda accord...it is from a private dealer.. i wouldn't have to pay the tax costing an extra 1000+, that is the con.. also i would have to look for a loan for that much because financing might be my oonly option. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/1925509615.html the other option is at the dealership.. but its a 2007 (lights are just newer).. they charging us 13,800 PLUS TAX... which ends up 15,000. it is 4 cylinder while the private dealer is v6.
